Families usually choose a home after one visit. They form a view in the entrance hall within seconds, and smell is the detail they remember and repeat to relatives.
Care settings generate persistent odours. Continence care, laundry, sluice rooms, kitchens and clinical waste all add to the air, and corridors and lounges hold onto them between cleans.
Residents live in the building. Anything you use has to be gentle and continuous rather than a strong burst after a problem, and it has to be comfortable for people sitting in the same lounge all afternoon.

Light and homely beats sweet and strong. A heavy fragrance reads as a cover-up, which is exactly the impression a good home does not want to give. Clean linen and soft floral profiles work well in lounges and entrances, at low output.

FAQs
Care Homes and Senior Living scenting FAQs
No, and we would not recommend it that way. Cleaning schedules, continence management, laundry handling and ventilation come first. Scenting keeps entrances, lounges and corridors reading fresh between cleans, once the source is being dealt with.
Our fragrances are IFRA certified and alcohol-free, delivered as a dry vapour with no heat, aerosol or propellant, and safety data sheets are available for every scent. Output is set low for continuous occupancy, and we recommend agreeing placement with your clinical lead and keeping any area unscented where a resident is sensitive.
Entrance hall, visitor lounges, dining areas and main corridors. We do not recommend scenting residents' private rooms unless the resident or their family asks for it.
No. We supply commercial scenting equipment and IFRA-certified fragrance to make the environment pleasant. We do not make therapeutic or clinical claims of any kind.
It depends on floor area and layout. One Aroma Ultra standalone unit covers up to 500 m², and one Aircent HVAC unit covers up to 1,000 m² through your air handling. Most homes start with the entrance and main lounge.
Standalone scenting starts from £59 + VAT a month on an annual plan, including the unit and fragrance refills. HVAC scenting and outright purchase are also available - get a free quote for your home.
