Scenteq — scenting spaces

Fan coil unit scenting

Scenting through fan coil units.

FCU scenting for buildings served by fan coil units rather than a central air handling plant — room-by-room fragrance delivered through the air that is already moving.

What is fcu scenting?

FCU scenting introduces fragrance into the airflow of a fan coil unit so the scent is distributed by the same equipment that already heats and cools the room. It suits hotels, offices and apartment buildings where each room or zone has its own fan coil unit instead of being fed from a central AHU. Coverage is specified per zone, and pricing matches the HVAC/AHU system at £799 ex VAT outright or £99 per month covering up to 1,000m².

  • Delivered through existing fan coil units — no new duct runs
  • Independent intensity per zone, set in the app
  • IFRA-certified oils, dry cold-air vapour, no oily residue on coils or grilles

The problem

What makes this space different

Plenty of hotels, offices and residential buildings have no central AHU to scent from — each room or zone is conditioned by its own fan coil unit, so a single ducted injection point does not exist.

Putting a portable diffuser in every room is expensive to refill and impossible to keep consistent. Fan coil units already move the air; scenting them uses what is there.

Coverage

Areas we specify

  • Hotel corridors, suites and club floors on FCU systems
  • Office floors with under-window or ceiling-void fan coil units
  • Residential and build-to-rent amenity areas
  • Clinics and treatment suites with per-room conditioning
  • Meeting-room and boardroom clusters needing independent settings

Our approach

How we get it right

Survey the unit, not just the room

Access panel, filter position, condensate tray and fan speed all decide where the diffusion point goes and how much output the zone will carry.

Dose per zone

Each fan coil unit serves a different volume and runs on a different schedule, so intensity is set zone by zone rather than building-wide.

Keep the plant clean

Cold-air nano-atomisation produces a dry vapour, so there is no oil film on coils, filters or grilles and no change to your maintenance routine.

FAQs

FCU scenting: FAQs

FCU scenting adds fragrance to the airflow of a fan coil unit, so the unit that already conditions the room also distributes the scent. It is used in buildings that have fan coil units instead of, or alongside, central air handling plant.

AHU scenting diffuses at one central air handling unit and scents every zone that plant feeds. FCU scenting diffuses at individual fan coil units, which suits buildings where each room or zone is conditioned separately and gives you independent intensity per zone.

The system produces a dry cold-air vapour with no heat and no oily carrier, so it leaves no residue on coils, filters or grilles. Installation is non-invasive and reversible, and we agree the diffusion point with your maintenance contractor before fitting.

The same as HVAC and AHU integration: £799 ex VAT outright or £99 per month billed annually, covering up to 1,000m². Larger buildings are quoted per zone.
