What is HVAC scenting?
HVAC scenting introduces atomised fragrance into a building's moving supply air. The duct network carries it to the connected commercial spaces, rather than relying on a visible diffuser in each room. Scenteq Airscent has nominal coverage of up to 1,000 m²; achievable coverage and the number of units depend on airflow, ceiling height, duct layout and zoning. It does not replace ventilation, filtration or fixing an odour source.

A scent diffuser for air conditioning — is your system suitable?
HVAC scenting delivers ambient fragrance through the ventilation infrastructure already serving your building. Rather than placing individual diffusers in each room, professional diffusion equipment is integrated with the air distribution system so fragrance travels with conditioned air to the areas you want covered.
It suits larger commercial spaces — buildings where standalone units would either be too numerous to manage or too localised to give a consistent result. Because the delivery mechanism is the building itself, coverage is even, equipment stays out of sight, and the whole scheme can be planned, zoned and refilled centrally.
Air conditioning alone does not establish compatibility. We need a suitable supply-air route, accessible connection point and operating airflow serving the spaces you want to scent. Areas fed by a different system will not receive fragrance just because they are in the same building.
With central plant, compare AHU scenting at the air handling unit. For local room or zone conditioning, see fan coil unit scenting. Where integration is unsuitable, Scenteq Ultra standalone diffusers provide an alternative.

Scenteq specifies and supplies the equipment. Your HVAC contractor agrees the connection point and carries out the duct works, with access for future refills and maintenance.
Tuning
With ventilation running, output and operating hours are set with remote support. Check fragrance in the occupied areas and adjust gradually; confirm any interlock or BMS requirements separately.

Airflow and the areas served determine the specification. Floor area alone cannot confirm that one unit will cover a building, or that separate floors can be controlled independently.

Not automatically. A ducted supply-air system, central AHU and local fan coil unit have different airflow and access requirements. A wall-mounted split air conditioner is not the same as a duct network. We assess your equipment and the areas it serves before recommending integration; a standalone Scenteq Ultra may be the better option where no suitable connection exists.
In most cases yes. Integration depends on duct layout, airflow, access and the condition of existing plant, all of which we assess during the consultation before specifying anything.
Where the building is served by separate zones or units, yes. Zoning determines what is achievable, so this is confirmed at consultation stage rather than assumed.
Yes. Your HVAC contractor can fit the unit outside core hours, and we help set output once the system is running.
Intensity is set at setup based on airflow and volume, then scheduled by time of day or occupancy. It can be adjusted after a period of real use.

Your HVAC or M&E contractor carries out the agreed duct connection. Scenteq assesses suitability, specifies and supplies the scenting equipment, and provides remote setup support. Operating schedules should follow the ventilation hours: fragrance needs moving supply air. Any automatic interlock or BMS connection must be confirmed for your plant, not assumed as a standard feature.
Start with your venue type, approximate area and the spaces you want scented. If available, send a duct layout, plant model, supply-air information and photos of the proposed access point. We then confirm suitability, unit count, oil allowance and any contractor work before you commit.
